Our Top Four Benjamin Moore Whites.
#1. SIMPLY WHITE ~ OC - 117
In 2016, Benjamin Moore's Simply White was awarded colour of the year. The description listed on Benjamin Moore's website is:
"Fresh as the first snowfall, this clean, crisp, multi-purpose white is a perennial favourite for trim, ceilings, and walls."
We can safely say that since Simply White was awarded "Colour Of The Year" in 2016, it has been by far the popular choice with most designers, interior decorators, and colour consultants. Simply White is a versatile and iconic soft white paint colour with just a little bit of warmth, so it looks great just about anywhere. We have painted countless homes with this white. From 9,000 sq foot newly constructed homes, to 900 sq foot condos, simply white simply works!
“Benjamin Moore Simply White has a slight warm undertone, which keeps it from feeling too sterile (no hospital vibes here). I have yet to come across a color scheme Simply White wouldn’t complement. It also really goes to work in those darker spaces with little to no natural light because the paint colour itself simply radiates..."
The Best Warm White Paint Colour: Benjamin Moore Simply White
"Simply White is definitely one of the more popular warm white paint colours these days and it’s no wonder. Whether it’s on walls, trims, exteriors, cabinets, doors or ceilings – you name it, Simply White’s got it covered."
#2. Cloud White ~ OC -130 or CC - 40
Cloud White is one of the most popular whites that we paint with today. This colour is part of Benjamin Moore's "Designer Classics Collection."
Benjamin Moore describes Cloud White as:
"Lightweight and luminous, this subtle, sophisticated shade of soft white is reminiscent of vapour clouds on a clear day."
We have painted more doors, casings, baseboards, crown mouldings, and trims with Cloud White then we could ever count. And same goes for walls and ceilings.
Cloud White has a touch of yellow and black in it, making it more of a 'creamy' white colour that creates a warm and natural hue great for walls, trims, ceilings and cabinetry.
"When it comes to white paint colours, you’d be hard-pressed to find one that’s more talked about than Benjamin Moore Cloud White. It’s not just the versatility of this white that keeps it top of mind, it’s the fact that it’s been kickin’ for a looooong time in the wild world of white, and there are good reasons for that, so let’s jump in…"
"In spite of changing paint trends, there is one hue that’s withstood the test of time: Benjamin Moore’s Cloud White. In fact, it’s House & Home magazine’s most mentioned paint color. This versatile warm-white hue has a soft undertone that’s easy on the eyes and complements any decorating style or color palette. Browse through our gallery and see some stunning spaces that have embraced Cloud White."
#3. Chantilly Lace ~ OC 65
Chantilly Lace is a clean, crisp and brighter white. It is a consistent favourite among interior designers and decorators because of its versatility and beauty. This is Benjamin Moore’s truest white with very slight grey and blue undertones.
Benjamin Moore describes Chantilly Lace as:
"...delicate and refined as the lace it was named after, this crisp, clean white evokes images of pure silk, soft linen and simpler times."
"I refer to Chantilly Lace as a “highly-regarded white” because all of my favorite designers have referenced it as being one of their favorite bright, white paint colors."
Chantilly Lace is a white paint colour, and as far as Benjamin Moore is concerned, it’s THE WHITEST white!
#4. White Dove ~ OC 17
Benjamin Moore's White Dove is an interior decorator's best friend. Next to 'Simply White', it is a colour that we often work with. It is a softer white with a hint of grey with a slight creamy undertone.
Benjamin Moore describes it as:
"Unerring style defines this classic, softly shaded white. Light and luminous, it is a favourite choice for mouldings and trim."
In 2018, we painted a 7000 sq foot home in West Vancouver using White Dove on all the trims and doors throughout. The end result was gorgeous, making this colour one of my personal faves.
"...Although I tend to be uncertain about a new paint colour until I see it in a space, White Dove became an instant favourite. As soon as it started going up, I could tell it had just the right amount of soft warmth (not too creamy) to make it inviting, but also enough crispness to keep our rooms looking fresh. It felt like the perfect balance."
"...When it comes to the best white paint colours, Benjamin Moore White Dove is definitely in my top three. It’s earned its place time and time again by looking captivating on cabinets, wicked on walls and tremendous on trim!"
